After many months of hard work by staff from across the Trust, Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is proud to have passed its assessment and been awarded Investors in People (IiP) status.
The Trust had an external assessment against the standard at the end of last year. A large number of staff were interviewed and identified many areas of strength for the Trust as an employer.
Phillip Marshall, Director of Human Resources at the Trust, said:
“This is a great achievement for the Trust and we are one of very few NHS organisations within Yorkshire and the Humber to be awarded Investors in People status.
I would like to offer my sincere thanks to all the staff who took part in the process in any way, for all of their work. The Trust will not become complacent and will strive to continually improve the experience of all our staff at work in order to retain our position as an employer of choice.
The Trust greatly values its staff and this award is recognition of that fact.”
The Trust will now be able to display an Investors in People plaque and use the IiP logo on its letterheads and other materials.

The Trust was also ranked as one of the top 100 healthcare employers in the country in the annual Healthcare 100 survey of staff working in the sector for the second consecutive year.
