Welcome to Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.
Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust was founded under the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003 and authorised as an NHS Foundation Trust from 1 January 2005. The Trust is the principal provider of hospital services to the population of Harrogate and surrounding district and also to north Leeds. In addition, on 1 April 2011, HDFT took on responsibility for a wide range of community based services covering the Harrogate and District locality and some services covering the whole of North Yorkshire as part of the Transforming Community Services programme. The Trust's overall catchment population is approximately 900,000.
Our enthusiastic Council of Governors represents over 17,000 Trust Members and is deeply involved in the work of our organisation: engaging Members and gathering feedback from the community; and ultimately helping us to maintain our high standards.
