Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust recognises the tremendous value that volunteers play in the delivery of our key services in a variety of different roles. We currently have over 550 volunteers giving over 2,000 hours per month of assistance throughout the Trust. The positive experience of volunteering at Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust is reflected in the long service of many of our volunteers who give outstanding years of commitment and dedication. Many of our younger volunteers often return during university holidays to also help out. The enthusiasm and commitment from our team of active volunteers results in a limited availability of roles on offer to new applicants.
Although we would still like to hear from new volunteers, we currently only have vacancies in the following areas:
Hand Hygiene Champions
Meal Time Volunteers - either lunch or evening meal service
Admin Assistance in Audiology, approximately half a day per week
Discharge Lounge - Wednesday 11am - 1pm
Clinical Assessment Team - Admin Assistance
Meet and Greet Volunteers at Ripon Community Hospital for Out Patient Clinics
Fundraising for the Hospital Charity
