Ian Barlow

Ian Barlow

Ian worked his way through the ranks in catering to being an area director and subsequently changed direction into sales and marketing, including digital and web promotion.  As an experienced managing director, he understands the need for budgeting, planning and forecasting.

Having worked internationally, he recognises the need to understand and value different cultures and the importance of diversity in all walks of life.

He is also immersed in numerous Yorkshire-based groups and activities, promoting everything the county has to offer.  By using this knowledge and research techniques, Ian is keen to help in the community health sector too.

To this end, he participates in the Future NHS Collaboration Platform transforming how health and social care work together, and is also part of the Participation Platform of Care Quality Commission CQC.

Ian is a regular observer at the Trust’s People & Culture Committee, a sub-committee of the Board.

If you would like to contact Ian on a matter related to their role as a Governor, please email [email protected]. Thank you.
