I qualified in Leeds, and completed postgraduate medical training in Yorkshire after a short spell in Liverpool. I am a Consultant Histopathologist, delivering a diagnostic service and leading on urological cancer services. This is largely ‘behind the scenes’ work, but crucial to the Trust’s commitment to provide the highest quality cancer care. We also provide a vital community service in assisting with investigation of sudden and unexpected deaths.
I am Staff Governor representing medical practitioners and it is a privilege to sit on the Trust’s Council of Governors. I am also the Head of School of Pathology for the Yorkshire & Humber region, overseeing the training of doctors in a range of scientific disciplines.
