I originally qualified as a Physiotherapist and went to work clinically in Derbyshire where I developed an interest in neurological rehabilitation. I moved back to Yorkshire to take up a post as a physiotherapy lecturer. After completing my PhD in the field of rehabilitation for people who had sustained a stroke, I moved into leadership roles. I am now the Dean of the Faculty of Health Studies at the University of Bradford. I am keen to use my experience with the Trust to inform the research developments and education of health professional students at the University, to ensure that our work and our students meet the needs of today’s health and care services.
