Over the years my wife and I have been active in helping to improve our community especially while our children have been growing up, including the establishment of a Girl Guide group, coaching and supporting Starbeck Centenary Swimming Club and the development of girls’ rugby teams. As both of our families are involved in the caring and social wellbeing professions, including social work and healthcare, I feel that I could best serve our community by supporting the Trust that is at the centre of all our lives. Additionally during this time I have continued my academic studies recently receiving my MBA provided me skills which I believe I could be best employed adding my local Trust to improve others’ lives.

I will bring my experience and skills as a solutions-oriented, commercially-focused and entrepreneurial leader possessing 20+ years of diverse experience in a variety of industries within SME and multi-site organisations, including international brands to this role:

  • Strategic and operational leadership: delivered strategic value through innovative application of technology, outsourced and internal resources, including: OHL, Mars, Tesco, & Shell
  • Stakeholder engagement: partnership approach building trust and improved relationships, including Board level, allowing, successful process changed and transformational projects
  • Programme and project delivery for international organisations within consumer goods, manufacturing and public sector
  • Specialities: technology, programem and project delivery, relationship management & process transformation
  • Masters of Business Degree (MBA) at Leeds University Business School, dissertation “Impact of IT governance”
