Emma joined the Trust from NHS England and NHS Improvement where she was Clinical Quality Director and Director of Nursing in the North East and Yorkshire Region.
Emma is passionate about nursing and midwifery and about promoting the profession through demonstration of professional standards, values and behaviours. She focuses on improvements in patient safety and quality by aligning best practice with innovation and improving cultures through behaviours. She is a strong advocate for patients, carers and families and drives improved patient outcomes through compassionate leadership, staff wellbeing and professional standards. Emma is also the Trust’s Deputy Chief Executive – a role that was made permanent in June 2023 after a successful 15 months as the Acting Deputy Chief Executive.
