I qualified as a doctor in Mumbai, India in 1986 and completed an MD in Pathology from Bombay University (1989). Further training in Histopathology followed on Merseyside (MRCPath 1993), in Hong Kong and Newcastle upon Tyne. My other roles previously have included Overseas Doctors’ Mentor, Clinical Lead in Histopathology, Deputy Clinical Director Acute and Cancer Care, Associate Medical Director (legal medicine), and Consultant Supervisor for Biomedical scientists extended practice diploma.
I have been a Consultant at HDFT since 1998, providing a general histopathology, nongynaecologic cytology and autopsy service. I am also Lead for the breast multi-disciplinary team. I work part-time, usually Monday–Wednesday.
Presently I am the Project Lead for HDFT pilot mentoring scheme for doctors.
