Hypnobirthing is an approach to birth that encompasses breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and self-hypnosis. We aim to help you to approach your baby's birth with confidence and positivity.

The aim is to help you to approach your baby’s birth with confidence and provide you with the tools to enable you to remain calm and in control whatever course your birth takes. Following the course, we hope that you will have enough tools to enable you to remain calm and in control whatever course your birth takes.

Hypnobirthing @ Harrogate

Our Hypnobirthing teachers Kathy, Emma, Katie & Rachel are all experienced NHS midwives who each have a diploma in Hypnobirthing. The Hypnobirthing @ Harrogate course is taught over one full Saturday in small, interactive groups. The course is endorsed by Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, the Association of Hypnobirthing Midwives and the Royal College of Midwives.

The course is held at Saltergate Children’s Centre, Newby Crescent, Harrogate. We run courses on the first two Saturdays of each month.
A charge of £110 per couple applies. The cost covers the teaching session, a book, CD and course pack to take home – as well as follow up support.

Will I be hypnotised?

No! All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. You will be taught techniques to help you achieve a deep state of relaxation.
