I qualified in medicine from Bristol University in 1994. After general medical training, I undertook my haematology training in Birmingham, Nottingham and Leeds. I was appointed Consultant at Harrogate in 2006.
I am a General Haematologist with an interest in thrombosis. I chair the Hospital Thrombosis Committee for the prevention and management of blood clots and am Clinical Lead for the Anticoagulation Service.
I work part time as I have two school-aged boys. I go to the gym and run in my spare time – I have done the Yorkshire Warrior 10 mile obstacle course three times.
