Herriots Restaurant
Herriot’s is our main restaurant and is open to patients, visitors and staff from Monday-Friday. The restaurant provides a traditional breakfast, a variety of hot and cold lunches and evening meals, a salad bar, both made-to-order and pre-packed sandwiches as well as snacks and beverages. Our carvery meal deal is a firm favourite among patients and staff, and vegetarian options are always available.
Herriot’s Restaurant also offers gluten free options and healthy choices of 500 calories or less.
The restaurant is located on the first floor of Harrogate District Hospital. Our opening times are:
Monday to Friday
Breakfast: 7.30am-11am
Lunch: 11.30am-1.45pm
No evening dinner service

Café Bistro
There is a coffee shop at the main entrance. With a number of tables and a small garden, it’s the perfect place to sit and enjoy a cup of tea or a slice of cake when you need to refuel.
The opening hours for the coffee shop are:
Monday-Friday: 8am-7:30pm
Dinner Service 6pm-7pm
Saturday-Sunday: 7:30am-6pm
Dinner Service: 5pm-6pm
The coffee shop accepts both cash and card payments.
WHSmith
WHSmiths is now permanently closed.
This is part of wider plan to carry out a refurbishment of facilities within the main entrance at Harrogate District Hospital.
Cash machine
If you need cash to access any of our facilities, a machine is available in the main entrance. It charges £1.25 per transaction.
Vending Machines
Self service vending machines are available in several locations around Harrogate District Hospital and are available for use 24 hours a day. Vending machines providing a range of drinks and snacks can be found in the main entrance, outside Herriot’s restaurant and on the 1st floor of Strayside Wing close to the lifts.
