Dr Tran graduated in Medicine with Honours from the University of Leeds in 2009, having also completed a First Class BSc during this time. He trained in West Yorkshire, where he has worked across different Trusts including Bradford, Mid-Yorks, Leeds and Harrogate.
He has been awarded a highly competitive National Institute of Health Research Fellowship to undertake his PhD on the role of ultrasound in shoulder pain. He was awarded his PhD in 2019. He was recently awarded the prestigious Wellcome Trust Institutional Strategic Support Fund to continue with his research. He continues to publish and present his work at national and international conferences.
Dr Tran treats all types of arthritis and has a special interest in ultrasound and guided injections. He also has an interest in musculoskeletal and sports medicine. Another passion of his is medical education, and he was part of the team that was recently awarded the Clinical Teaching Team Excellence Award by the University of Leeds.
