I have worked as a Consultant Dermatologist since 2006. After holding consultant posts in Doncaster and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals, I joined Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust.
I qualified from Erlangen Medical School in Germany in 1995. My basic medical training allowed me to get to know Yorkshire, with posts in Leeds, Scarborough, Hull and Sheffield.
After completing my doctoral thesis, I then trained as a registrar in dermatology in Sheffield, London and Amersham, and completed my specialist training as a dermatologist in Leeds. I worked for four years at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, gaining specialist experience in all dermatological sub-specialties.
My research activity has led to more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
