I qualified from Leicester Warwick Medical School with Honours in 2004. My Surgical training was undertaken in Yorkshire predominantly based in Leeds, York and Bradford.
I completed an MSc in Medical Education at Cardiff University in 2012 and was awarded Fellow of the Higher Education Academy reflecting my commitment to both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. From 2012-2014 I was a Lecturer in Surgery at Hull York Medical School.
In 2014 I was awarded Master of Surgery at the University of Edinburgh after completing a two-year research degree focusing on the optimisation of Bariatric Surgical Patients.
My special interests lie in Surgery for Gallstone disease, acid reflux and laparoscopic hernia repair.
In my spare time I enjoy a range of sports including cycling, horse riding and skiing. I am a keen runner and a having completed several half marathons and most recently the London Marathon.
