Rachel enjoyed a varied management career in the health sector for over 25 years including at local, regional, national and international levels of the NHS, Department of Health and wider government as well as the private sector.
With a professional background as a chartered engineer and health experience spanning operational, leadership, strategy, policy and assurance roles, she is able to use her understanding of the health service, and her experience in programme leadership, performance turnaround and transformational change, to represent her local community and the wider public on the Council of Governors and support the Trust in its delivery of services.
Rachel is a strong advocate for the opportunities within an integrated health and care system to improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities, building on strong engagement with communities and making best use of overall public resources.
Rachel is a regular observer of the Trust’s Audit Committee, a sub-committee of the Board.
