The principles of the NHS are a key motivator to Rick’s involvement as a Governor with the Trust, having been a senior registered medical practitioner in the locality until his retirement in 2018.
His ambition for continuous improvement whilst maintaining high quality, patient-centred, healthcare services is paramount. Rick also focusses on the need for better integration of services provided by the Trust with those provided by Mental Health Services, Social Services, General Practices, Care Homes, and the Voluntary Sector.
Rick is a regular observer at the Trust’s Quality Committee and Innovation Committee, both sub-committees of the Board.
