I am a Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist with over 23 years of experience, currently working at Harrogate District Foundation Trust, having previously worked at Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield, Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust as a Consultant Gastroenterologist for 17 years .
My sub-specialty interests are in Advanced upper and Lower GI endoscopic procedures, inflammatory bowel disorders, liver and HPB disorders.
I am the current clinical lead in Gastroenterology and Hepatology services at Harrogate Hospital.
I qualified in 1990 with my primary medical degree MBBS from India and went on to do an MD in General Medicine and Therapeutics. I came to the UK in 1995 and completed my specialist training in Gastroenterology on the Yorkshire Rotation, having worked at St James’ University Hospital, Leeds, York District Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary, Leeds General Infirmary and Pontefract General Infirmary. I spent three years on the liver transplant unit at St James University Hospital, where I developed my special interest in liver diseases and HPB disorders.
