I qualified at St Georges’ University of London with Merit in both Clinical and Medical Sciences. Following this I undertook junior doctor training posts in Buckinghamshire, Oxford and the South West. I then commenced Histopathology training in Yorkshire and Humber.
I joined Harrogate in 2019; my subspecialty interests include Urological Pathology for which I am department lead. My clinical portfolio also includes autopsy work and I undertake these at the request of the Coroner.
I am a Medical Examiner at the Trust. This is a nationwide scheme that ensures independent and accurate scrutiny of hospital (and soon community) deaths.
Recently I have been appointed as BMA LNC representative for senior doctors and dentists.
I have a strong interest in training and education as the named department Clinical Supervisor, as well as Educational Supervisor for the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery. I am Deputy Editor at the Association of Clinical Pathologists (ACP) which supports my interest in publication and editorial.
