Dr Katherine Humphris graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2015 before completing her Foundation Training in Leeds and Harrogate. In 2017, she began Histopathology specialty training in Yorkshire and the Humber, which included several rotations at Harrogate Hospital.
Dr Humphris completed her specialist training and took up a substantive Consultant Histopathologist post in Harrogate in 2024. She reports on a wide range of histopathology and cytology specimens and performs post-mortem examinations, primarily on behalf of HM Coroner.
She is currently the Specialty Lead for Gynaecological Pathology and the Clinical Lead for the Mortuary.
Dr Humphris works part-time, balancing her professional responsibilities with the demands of her young family.
