Dr Wakefield is a Respiratory Consultant doctor based at Harrogate District Hospital. Dr Wakefield is dual trained in Respiratory and General Internal medicine, he graduated from Manchester University in 2009 with MbCHb and went on to gain a PG cert in allergy from the University of Southampton. He is a member of the British Thoracic Society and a Committee Member of the Hull North Yorkshire United Asthma Formulary Group. In addition to his work for the NHS, Dr Wakefield has practiced internationally and has published work related to respiratory health.
At Harrogate District Hospital, Dr Wakefield leads the local asthma service which encompasses investigating cough and undifferentiated breathlessness.
