Dr Nicola Heddy is a Consultant Paediatrician with a specialist interest in diabetes and endocrinology. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Birmingham and went on to undertake postgraduate training in London, complemented by additional clinical experience in Brisbane, Australia.
She is particularly passionate about supporting teenagers and young adults through a safe, structured, and well-communicated transition from paediatric to adult services.
Dr Heddy serves as the Clinical Audit Lead for Paediatrics and has been actively involved in national training and professional development through previous roles on the London School of Paediatrics Trainee Committee and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health CSAC Committee.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and making the most of the Yorkshire countryside through running and cycling.
