I studied at the University of Leeds and became a General Practitioner partner and trainer in Knaresborough, where I developed an interest in dermatology.
I was involved in several national guideline/research projects in skin cancer, acne, and alopecia. I resigned from general practice, undertook further Dermatology training to be awarded specialist registration.
I’m interested in skin cancer, acne and education of health professionals in dermatology. I also work as a visiting lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire, teaching GPs and Nurses on the subject of Dermoscopy, which enables skin cancer to be picked up at an early stage.
Outside work, my hobbies include running – everything from park runs to marathons – in Harrogate and the Lake District.
