Dr Sharmila Das

I qualified from Newcastle University Medical School in 1994.  I completed my higher specialist dermatology training at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle upon Tyne where I pursued my specialist interest in photodermatology, undertaking number of research projects leading to peer-reviewed publications.

I joined Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust in 2004 and have continued to develop a streamlined phototherapy service for inflammatory dermatoses. I have also developed specialist interests in paediatric dermatology, vulval disorders and skin cancer.

I am the Departmental Specialty Lead, working with four senior colleagues to deliver high quality services for the local population.
