Mr Kareem Abdullah

Mr Abdullah is consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip surgery and lower limb arthroplasty.

Mr. Abdullah completed his specialized training in trauma and orthopaedics at Ain Shams University Hospitals, a renowned major trauma centre in Egypt. This training provided him with a solid foundation in managing a wide range of orthopaedic conditions and injuries, preparing him to deliver exceptional care to his patients.

With a passion for advancing his skills and knowledge, Mr. Abdullah relocated to the UK in 2015, where he developed a special interest in lower limb arthroplasty, with a specific focus on hip surgery.

Mr Abdullah completed two fellowships in hip replacement surgery, which were sponsored by the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons. These fellowships were undertaken in the East of England and Harrogate, allowing Mr. Abdullah to work closely with leading experts and gain invaluable experience in complex hip procedures.

Mr. Abdullah’s primary focus lies in providing exceptional care to patients requiring hip surgery. His expertise encompasses a wide range of procedures, including total hip replacement surgeries, revision (redo) hip replacements, and the management of urgent hip problems. This includes cases such as hip fractures requiring joint replacement, fractures occurring around existing joint replacements, and infections associated with joint replacements.

Mr. Abdullah is committed to learning and teaching junior doctors and medical students. He serves as an honorary lecturer at the University of Leeds and is an educational supervisor for fifth-year medical students.

Outside of his professional commitments, Mr. Abdullah embraces an active lifestyle. He enjoys engaging in activities such as hill walking, hiking, and mountain climbing, which not only contribute to his personal well-being but also provide him with a deeper understanding of the importance of mobility and orthopaedic health.
