Jervaulx Ward is a 30 bedded acute frailty ward. Our speciality care includes nursing frail and elderly patients with complex medical and care needs.

Restricted Visiting on Jervaulx

Due to an increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 on Jervaulx Ward, we have unfortunately had to make the decision to restrict visiting to protect the health and safety of our patients and staff for the time being.

Visiting for inpatients on Jervaulx is not permitted currently, apart from the following exceptions:

  • Visitors of those patients who are reaching the end of their life
  • Carers of patients who have a learning disability or severe cognitive impairment such as dementia
  • Compassionate reasons

These exceptions will be at the discretion of the Nurse in charge of the ward. Please ring the buzzer to see if you can be granted access or call 01423 555309.

Please do not visit if you have symptoms of a respiratory illness (cold/flu-like illness) or you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days.
