Maternity Assessment Centre (MAC)

Women attend the Maternity Assessment Centre during pregnancy, after 18 weeks gestation, with urgent problems.

Due to the impact of planning for Coronavirus, visiting times have changed. Click here for the latest news. Specifically for Maternity:

• Same as the overall Trust approach except:
• Partners only on Pannal Ward between 8am-8pm (no other visitors)
• No children
• Partners will not be staying overnight for the foreseeable future

These include abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, reduced fetal movements, suspected labour, and rupture of membranes.  Women may also attend in early pregnancy with severe vomiting (hyperemesis).

We want to make you feel as comfortable as possible when you stay on our wards, and all our staff aim to adhere to our values of Passionate, Respectful, and Responsible. Find out more information about our vision and values.
