Wensleydale Ward is a 28 bed, mixed, orthopaedic, elective ward that caters for patients who require joint replacement surgery, orthopaedic procedures and investigations.

Due to the impact of planning for Coronavirus, visiting times have changed. Click here for the latest news.

Patients are assessed in the Pre-Operative Assessment and Admissions Unit and reviewed in a pre-admission education group prior to their planned admission. Wensleydale Ward also receives some direct admissions from the Emergency Department following injury or trauma.

We provide a 24 hour emergency access helpline for patients who require advice following discharge. If you need to access this service, please call 01423 553641 or 01423 553642.

Orthopaedic clinics are held Monday to Thursday 8.30am-4.30pm and Friday 8.30am-12.30pm. If you have a question regarding the clinics, please call 01423 553440.
