Members of the public from Harrogate District and beyond are invited to join Governors and senior leaders from Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust at its Annual Members’ Meeting on Thursday 21 September.
The meeting is an opportunity to look back and celebrate our achievements in 2016/17. There will be presentations featuring an overview of the year from the Council of Governors, a summary of the last twelve months and a look ahead to the future from the Chief Executive, Dr Ros Tolcher, and final words from Sandra Dodson, in what will be her last Annual Members’ Meeting as Chairman of the Trust.
There will also be interactive table conversations giving you the chance to get involved and discuss ways in which the organisation and members of the public can support sustaining a healthy future. This will be followed by a Q&A session with the opportunity to put questions to a panel including members of the Board and clinical staff.
The Annual Report and Accounts will also be formally received.
The formal meeting takes place from 6-8pm with registration, display stands, networking and tea and coffee from 5pm in the Derwent Room, The Pavilions of Harrogate, Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, HG2 8NZ.
Everyone is welcome. To reserve a seat, please email [email protected] or call the Foundation Trust Office on 01423 554432/554489.
Sandra Dodson, Chairman of Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, said: “The past year has been really positive for the Trust. Some highlights include the Trust maintaining and building upon its reputation for the delivery of high quality care whilst continuing to advance and extend its remit. This has included providing additional services with outpatient clinics at Alwoodley Medical Centre in Leeds and Wharfedale Hospital in Otley.
“In addition, in the community the Trust now has a strong presence in the provision of Children’s Services across North Yorkshire, Middlesbrough and County Durham. In July last year we received the results from our Care Quality Commission inspection that had taken place earlier in the year, receiving a ‘Good’ rating overall and being delighted that the Caring domain was rated as ‘Outstanding’.
“I hope to see as many people as possible at the meeting to hear about their local NHS services and take part in the discussion about future challenges. It’s a really good opportunity to meet your elected Governors and senior Trust colleagues.”
