Issues with our computer and phone systems at Harrogate District Hospital has disrupted some of our services.
Robert Harrison, Chief Operating Officer at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, said:
“Today (Wednesday 13 January) we have experienced significant disruption to our computer and phone systems at Harrogate District Hospital.
“We are now confident all systems are back up and running, and apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.
“This disruption affected our main phone system, our email system and our clinical systems, which has impacted on the smooth running of the hospital. We have been working hard all day to solve this issue and have ensured patient safety wasn’t compromised throughout.
“Thank you to patients and their relatives, and everyone else who has been trying to get through to us today, for their patience and understanding.
“To protect the safety of patients we unfortunately had to postpone six elective operations. We are in direct communication with these patients to rearrange their operations for as soon as possible.
All systems are now back to normal.”
