Harrogate Inner Wheel is hosting a concert evening to raise funds for Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity, in particular Harrogate District Hospital’s Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre.
The Inner Wheel, a local women’s voluntary service, is hosting ‘Some Enchanted Evening’ on Saturday 2 June at The Granby, a care home in Harrogate. The exciting evening of entertainment is led by Harrogate-based ‘Treble Clef’, a female vocal ensemble who perform a wide-range of music including songs from shows, the ‘Great American Songbook’, folk songs and Beatles numbers. Joining them on the night is Julianne Young (Mezzo), a former professional opera singer who has performed across opera houses in Europe and has won prestigious awards, such as the Kathleen Ferrier Award.
Treble Clef is delighted to be performing at the event. The group said: “Together, we are pleased to sing in support of the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Cancer Centre at Harrogate District Hospital.
“We have been proudly supporting charities to improve the lives of people across the Harrogate district ever since the group was formed over 30 years ago.”
David Fisher, Community and Events Fundraiser with Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity, said: “We are extremely grateful to Harrogate Inner Wheel for their support in raising funds for our Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre here at Harrogate District Hospital.
“We are sure that ‘Some Enchanted Evening’ will be an excellent event, with an exciting evening of entertainment lined-up to raise valuable funds for our patients and their families.”
Tickets for the evening, which takes place in The Granby care home’s Crystal Ballroom cost £12 with the event starting at 7pm. To purchase tickets or for more information, call 01423 548976 or 01423 202706.
