Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust’s Bernice Mpholle was recently named Nurse of the Year at the Yorkshire Endoscopy Training Academy (YETA) event, which celebrated three years of endoscopy excellence across the region.
Alongside her role as a Band 6 Practice Educator in Endoscopy at HDFT, Bernice is currently undertaking a Band 7 regional secondment for 7.5 hours per week, helping Endoscopy staff across Yorkshire complete essential endoscopy-specific training.
This award recognises Bernice’s outstanding contribution to Endoscopy nursing across the region. She has played a key role in supporting other units to meet national ENDO1 standards, widening access to high-quality learning opportunities and directly influencing service improvement for patients and colleagues.
