The North York Moors National Park can be reached easily from Middlesbrough, Darlington, Ripon, Harrogate, Whitby and Scarborough. The Yorkshire Dales are close to Skipton, Harrogate and Darlington. The Northumberland Coast and Yorkshire Coast are both home to stunning beaches, fantastic attractions and picturesque coastal villages.
Urban life
The region we cover also has a range of options for the urbanites out there. If you’re looking for a city lifestyle, both Leeds and York are within easy commutable distance of many of our sites. We also provide children’s services across large parts of the North East and Yorkshire– all of which have their own attractions.
Of course, Harrogate itself has a lot to offer, and has frequently been rated the happiest place to live on RightMove. That may be something to do with our famous Betty’s Tea Rooms, the Valley Gardens and the beautiful Stray – 200 acres of grass parkland that encompasses the town creating a green and spacious feel. This area has an array of historic attractions for you to explore. We have a number of castles and ruins within easy reach, including Fountains Abbey, Whitby Abbey and Skipton Castle. Why not explore stately homes and gardens, such as Castle Howard, Harewood House or the multi-award winning RHS Gardens Harlow Carr. Experience the medieval York Mystery Plays at York Minster or imagine yourself in wartime Britain at the Eden Camp.
Family attractions
There is plenty for families to enjoy together. For the thrill-seekers, we have two theme parks nearby – Lightwater Valley and Flamingo Land. You could visit Mother Shipton’s Cave, England’s oldest visitor attraction, which includes a petrifying well and a forest to explore. A day at the seaside is never too far away, with both Whitby and Scarborough nearby.
