Chris Mannion joined Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust as Chief People Officer in September 2026.
Chris began his NHS career on the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme in 2007 and has since held a range of senior leadership roles across workforce, organisational development and transformation. Prior to joining HDFT, Chris was Deputy Director of Workforce and Organisational Development at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.
Chris holds a BSc in Psychology and an MA in Human Resource Management and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. He holds the NHS Leadership Academy’s Nye Bevan Award in Executive Healthcare Management and is an ACAS-trained workplace mediator. In 2024, Chris was named Deputy People Leader of the Year at the Healthcare People Management Association (HPMA) Awards.
Chris is passionate about the importance of a positive organisational culture, where colleagues feel valued, supported and able to do their best work for patients.
