I studied medicine at the University of Leicester and graduated in 1999, prior to embarking on the Physician Training Programme in Yorkshire and Edinburgh where I passed my Membership of the Royal College of Physicians examination. I completed anaesthesia specialist training in Yorkshire, gaining advanced training in obstetric anaesthesia and further training in intensive care medicine. I was appointed as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Harrogate District Hospital in 2014. Currently I lead the maternal critical care service and the enhanced recovery programme for caesarean sections.
