We have six operating theatres, including a dedicated emergency obstetric theatre, at Harrogate District Hospital.
We provide surgery and treatment for a range of elective and emergency specialities. These are:
- Acute activity
- General surgery
- Gynaecology
- Obstetrics
- Trauma and orthopaedics
- Urology
The Theatre Team consists of healthcare assistants, staff nurses, and operating department practitioners. All members of staff are split into different teams which provide specialised care in individual surgical disciplines such as orthopaedics.
Opening hours
We are open for planned surgery every day from 8.30am-5pm and from 5.30-8.30pm on several evenings. We also open on Saturdays for planned work when necessary.
We are open for emergency and obstetric surgery 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Referral
We accept referrals from GPs.
Location
The main operating theatres are located on the first floor of Harrogate District Hospital.
