Update – 1 July 2022
In response to current hospital outbreaks of COVID-19, alongside climbing infection rates in the community, we have made the difficult decision to tighten some measures to control the transmission of COVID-19 for the safety or our patients and staff.
With immediate effect, please can you implement and support the following measures:
- All staff and visitors are to wear surgical masks whilst on any of our inpatient wards.
- Patients on inpatient wards are to wear surgical masks where this is possible and safe for them to do so.
- Increase ventilation on wards, corridors and offices by having windows always open during daylight hours.
- All staff in a patient facing role should to continue to perform twice weekly lateral flow tests (available to order from https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests).
Other measures relating to the cohorting of patients and testing are in place and will be explained by infection control and site management colleagues as required.
Thank you for your ongoing help and support.
