What about medical insurance?

What about self-pay?

You do not need to be insured to be admitted or transferred to the Harlow Suite as we can provide an estimated cost relating to any stay. We also offer fixed price packages to those who wish to pay for the treatment. Our fixed price package includes the cost of the surgeon, the anaesthetist and the stay on the Harlow Suite. There are no other costs.

Can I transfer to the Harlow Suite following an accident or emergency admission?

Yes. During an acute or emergency admission, you can be transferred to the Harlow Suite from anywhere in the hospital – or from another hospital – if this is considered appropriate. Simply ask the nursing staff in the area where you are being cared for or ask the Private Patient Coordinator to come and see you.

Am I taking resources away from the NHS?

Not at all – in fact, quite the opposite. The Harlow Suite and private patients bring extra income into the hospital therefore by using the service, you are providing further support to the NHS.
