Work experience

At Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, we understand the value of educationally and professionally focused volunteering opportunities. For students making important career choices, the opportunity to understand how a place of employment works is invaluable, and helps to build an impressive skill set.

We are not currently offering work experience placements, but are instead offering educationally and professionally focused volunteering opportunities through the Career Enhancement Volunteering Pathway.

These opportunities are offered to any person aged 16 and above who wishes to pursue educational and / or professional development through committing to one of #teamHDFT’s volunteering roles.   The aim is to encourage people in education to commit to a longer term volunteering opportunity, allowing them to build and develop transferable skills to take into their future academic and / or professional career.

After 50 hours of volunteer service we provide each person a certificate and then the opportunity to apply to shadow a member of #teamHDFT staff to further develop their experience.  For more information about volunteering and to download an application form for the Career Enhancement Volunteering Pathway please see our website https://hhcc.co.uk/volunteer/
